Teaching staff - external CPD
We partner with external organisations to enhance our offer to staff, and will support teaching staff with recognised qualifications where we can.
In the 2020-21 academic year we have partnered with a National Multi-Academy Trust to deliver NPQML and NPQSL courses to 27 current and aspiring middle and senior leaders, and we look forward to supporting colleagues to work towards the new reformed suite of NPQs beginning in September 2021.
We have partnered with organisations such as Teach First and Ambition Institute to deliver leadership development for our staff and schools – in the last couple of years, we have used the Teach First Leading Together programme to help the senior leadership team at one of our schools design and set their three-year vision for evidence-informed, focussed professional development, and over 2020-21 and 2021-22 four of our schools are taking part in the Ambition Institute whole-school Transforming Teaching project. We also have middle in the Ambition Institute whole-school Transforming Teaching programme. We also have supported colleagues through the Expert Middle Leaders, Future Leaders, Headship with NPQH, Trust Leaders and Fellowship in Teacher Education courses with Ambition Institute.
We are keen to work with a range of partners who use the best available evidence to design rigorous professional development. We have supported some teachers to join their Subject Associations, provided some teachers with Chartered College of Teaching membership, and we collate the growing multitude of high-quality free resources produced and hosted by organisations such ResearchED, journals such as CCT’s Impact and the AFT’s American Educator, podcasts, blogposts and research papers into an organised and curated library available to all staff.
